I have been interested in the speed reading methodology and have read many books that highlighted several ways of going about it like the photo reading concept Mike mentions and Tony Buzan's approach. But none have been able to capture the emotional connection and the value that needs to be placed on that emotional connection like Mike did. Very well done Mike. I did create a min map for your review and would love to share it with you.

Like a lot of people I have a stack of books near my bed and dozens on my bookshelves that I am half way through reading.... high hopes, but little time. I shall use your method today. In fact, I have three books about my niche market sitting on my office desk that I have to get through and your method will come in very handy. I particularly like the idea of "teaching" the information I learn - and why not record it as a podcast and post it on my site... one more way to benefit both the author and myself, build up credibility... better to have a one on one interview with the author, but if that's not possible, an audio review is a good alternative.

Thanks for the ideas. Will let you know how it goes.
